Pre-race routine:

Had my toast with pb, honey, and banana. Cup of coffee for the drive down to Hyannis.
Event warmup:

Nothing to serious. A little stretching, found my team mate I was running with but missed the BT photo.

Comments:

It was a great run. Erin and I ran together up till the last 1 1/2 miles when I wanted to try to push it in. We averaged between an 8:50 and 9:20 min mile the whole time. My last mile I tried to push to do a sub 8 min and I just about got there. I felt good the whole run and finished strong. I was really happy with the time and felt great the rest of the day. Made me feel good about my training so far. Still have a ways to go before Boston but I feel like I am on track!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, really. The race felt great. I might have been able to push a bit more at the end but I am really happy with how it all turned ou.

Warm down:

I find that a few beers really speeds the recovery...

Event comments:

I had a great time. The course was nice and flat and seemed well organized. My only thing was there were not enough toilets and pretty much no port a johns on the route- that kind of stinks for the ladies.
