Total Time = 1h 14m
Overall Rank = 106/353
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 14/25
Pre-race routine:

The only race I have done that has two separate transition areas, luckily the bike/run transition is 1 minute from my place. Got to the bike/run transition right at 6a and setup my transition right next to the entrance of the transition area.

Then I had to drive to the start of the race and setup my swim/bike transition. (setup right next to the exit of the transition)
Event warmup:

None, unless walking around talking to people counts as a warmup. :-)
Swim
  • 06m 9s
  • 325 yards
  • 01m 51s / 100 yards
Comments:

I was in the last heat so there was no one to come up behind me. I positioned myself right in the middle of everyone, and didn't have any problems.

Little sighting was needed because it was an L-shapped course which made it very easy to follow.
What would you do differently?:

Swim to the edge of the lake. I tried to stand up and walk to early which slowed me down a bit. Other then that it went exactly as planned.
Transition 1
  • 02m
Comments:

Time is estimated since they don't break out transition times. (all get added to bike)

Instead of walking to and out of the transitions I was actually running, so it was a great improvement from my other races.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to get my socks and shoes on faster.
Bike
  • 36m 25s
  • 11.5 miles
  • 18.95 mile/hr
Comments:

The bike went very well. I have ridden the course many times so there were no surprises.

What would you do differently?:

Push harder on the bike, do more speed work on the bike. Had a lot more left to give on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 01m 30s
Comments:

Time is estimated since they don't break out transition times. (all get added to bike)

Same as T1, was moving fast in and out of T2

What would you do differently?:

A little slow getting out of bike shoes, other then that it went well.
Run
  • 27m 56s
  • 3.25 miles
  • 08m 35s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt great on the run. Breathing was easy, heart rate was even.
What would you do differently?:

Just like on the bike, push harder. Ran at a good pace, but could have done it faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Had some water, gatorade, and a hotdog. Talked a bit to people, then rode my bike back to T1 as my warm-down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing it was all me, could have pushed harder.

Event comments:

It is a really great race with many volunteers with many first timers and kids participating in this race.

Nice race to do with friends and family.
