Comments: My chain ring got locked up between finishing a gigantic hill and descending. Wasn't able to unclip in time and got road rash. Walked the bike on the descent and remounted to finish the last 1-1.5 miles What would you do differently?: practice on the mountain bike going downhills Transition 2
Comments: Since my knee was all bloody from the bike spill, I had to get it cleaned off a little bit because blood was dripping into my sock Run

Warm down: Post race party What limited your ability to perform faster: need to practice going up/down mountain hills on the bike and run portions; try to limit bike mechanical issues next time. Not sure if it would have been prevented or not. Event comments: They need to change "rolling" hills to "steep" hills in the race info at setup events. The night prior, I drove the bike and run course to mentally get ready.
The morning of the race, I got up at 3:30 for pasta breakfast. Had a PowerBar and Gatorade 1.5 hours prior to the sound going off. Dynamic warm-up and warm-up swim once available.
