Pre-race routine:

Just sat in the car because it was POURING ran all night and morning. Did some stretching and that was about it.
Event warmup:

Stretching and joking around. That's all.
Run
  • 2h 29m 20s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 24s  min/mile
Comments:

Seeing as how I've only run 3 times all month, and I've never run 13.1 miles before...let alone 13.1 in a downpour...I met my very conservative goal. I cramped up alot after 9 miles and had to pull off to the side to stretch. Good thing was that is was so muddy that following some of the other participants that looked like they just finished mud wrestling was pretty nice. ;)
What would you do differently?:

Train?
Post race
Warm down:

Just grabbed some drink and fruit and met up w/ my family. Then I went and walked down the boat ramp into lake to get all the mud off of me. There were some points where I was up to my knees in water on the course.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Wheather and lack of training.

Event comments:

I'll do it again next year.
