Pre-race routine:

Picked up RMarzano at her hotel and drove the 40 minutes to Lawrence. Walked 1/2 mile down the hill to Transition 1, walked up the hill 1/2 mile to Transition 2 then walked down the hill 1/2 mile to Transition 1 to start the swim

Comments:

No wetsuit... google strap snapped about 20 minutes in and had to get on my back and repair while being mugged by a wave of young turks. Lost 5 minutes there easy.
What would you do differently?:

Bring my wetsuit. Check the strap before entering the water

Course: Aid stations with sponges every 1/2 mile... very nice. You had to climb a 1/2 mile hill twice though on the 6.5 mile loop.
