Pre-race routine:

Didn't sleep great, kept on waking up. I guess I thought I would sleep though it. Finally got up at 4:30ish, showered and ended up leaving the Boca area at 4:50am. Got there in plenty of time and set up my bike area, hit the head and chatted with some other competitors. Was racked right across the Pros and it was cool watching their pre-race routine.
Event warmup:

Not much, was only able to get in the water and stroke for 3-4 minutes before asked to leave the water.

Decent swim, hard to gauge effort. Can probably increase perceived effort. Did pick it up a bit the last 400 or so. Had to stop at around that point to unfog goggles, realized I could not see.
What would you do differently?:

Try to get a better warmup. Push the middle part more. Train with longer reps.

Ugh. Can't seem to get a decent transition. Nothing in particular, just a few little things. Wetsuit took a little longer than wished, took some time to strap on Garmin 305. Need to get the Velco strap! Also need to have confidence in having the shoes on the pedals.
What would you do differently?:

Wetsuit off quicker, have pedals clipped in and get the Velco band for the watch!

I think I could have ridden faster. Again was not sure what the right effort should be. Longest ride of my season, with the winter in NY. Might have been able to push a little more. Chain fell off so lost a little time to put it back on. Overall it was about what I expected. Hill wasn't so bad. Way worse up here!!

Need to tighten the bars more!
What would you do differently?:

Need to train in the winter more. Whether it is at SUNY - Old Westbury or indoors.

Didn't leave shoes on bike, that cost some time. Did stop and drink some before heading out. Probably worth the few secs lost.

Well, with the way the training has been going (pace-wise) I shouldn't expect faster. I don't think the legs were particularly shot from the bike leg, but I really could not get them moving faster that 7:40s for an extended period. Not sure if rt hammy is making me lose power. A bit disappointed with time as I can usually run low 7. I guess I should take into consideration that this is Miami, not NYC and the weather can play a role.
What would you do differently?:

train more, run faster!

Good race, will do it again if the opportunity is right. Fun going on vacation and doing a race. The orange shirt was not great for running, no back pocket.

I would like to see the result sortable so I can see how I rate in each leg.
