  • Comments: post-race things got much worse concerning my cold. my sinuses were completely block and giving me a headache and my throat was very sore. the next day I could barely talk above a whisper. stil today, 6 days later, I am feeling the effects. I guess being so cold while waiting for the race then using all my energy to race rather than power my immune system gave the virus the opportunity to take ove and wreak havoc on my system. oh well, if I cold go back I would still race. I have no regrets.

  • Comments: I liked the race and the setting is very nice. I did feel like it could be better organized... specially the after race activities and food. You had to wait in a loooong line to get food. Honestly after three hours of pushing it you don´t want to wait for 30 minutes in line. Same for the massage. It seems that every year they get about the same number of competitors. I am surprised they have not solved those issues. Other than that it was a great race and I had a great time...

  • Comments: The first race in my third year now doing triathlons where beer is provided. Very cool! Transition area really needs to get cleaned up. Still too rocky. A great venue for the swim. Plenty of professional triathletes who are very friendly.

  • Comments: Lots of fun and will be back next year. Nice early season race to keep you motivated over the winter. I have a lot to improve on, but can't complain too much at this point. There were a lot of good athletes at this event and impressive AG field to say the least.

  • Comments: This is a good race that can test your ability early on in the season. Also, this is very early in my training, and now I know that I am hitting race targets based on training. Huge confidence builder. In the end, I can look at the results two ways. Age group results. 3/110 in my AG and 13/965 Age group overall. Or 72/1112 including everyone, guys like Matt Chrabot, Chris Lieto and Matty Reed. Elites who have been doing this for years. The AG results give me a sense of accomplishment, like I achieved a lot. The overall results forces me to see I actually got my ass kicked. For a day, I allowed myself to enjoy the AG finish of 3/110. It's good, but no where close to great. I want great. Now, the 72 becomes the focus. Can I chip away at that? There is only one way to find out.

  • Comments: Good race, will do it again if the opportunity is right. Fun going on vacation and doing a race. The orange shirt was not great for running, no back pocket. I would like to see the result sortable so I can see how I rate in each leg.

  • Comments: Well-organized and sanctioned. Parking was upsetting when I pay $130 and then have to pay $5 to park at the high school a quarter a mile away. I was not happy about that. The run route could use some improvements although the shade was nice.

  • Comments: I loved this race. It would have gotten 5 stars if they didn't RUN OUT OF WATER, in the expo area/finish. how does that even happen? otherwise, a memorable first olympic race, volunteers were great!

  • Comments: Very well put together race for the first annual M.I.T. I thought the post-race food was a little less than desirable - fried stuff. Although they did have some fruit and bagels. Will do this one again.

  • Comments: I think if I had done a real taper ( I ran 16 miles on Thursday), which I will do for St. Anthony’s our nest race I might be able to get my run under a 7:10min/mile plus it won’t be on a trail and my dad will be there and I love to show off for my parents. Because my wave started before Dante’s I got to not only see him on run and get some motivation from seeing him, (hopefully he gets some from seeing me too) but I got to see him finish and what a finish it was. Dante had about 1,000 meters to go and saw a Clydesdale ahead of him and Dante picked up his pace to a full sprint and I don’t think I have ever seen Dante move that fast. He passed the Clydesdale and the Clydesdale tried to pick up his pace to sprint Dante into the finish but he had nothing left and Dante cruised right in. It was exciting and it got Dante 3rd place overall out of all the 33 Clydesdale. We think it also might have torn Dante’s hamstrings because he was really sore for a few days after. I ended up with

  • Comments: It could be a better Event for the quality of people that showed for this event...Experience!!!! The Organazers need to post the results for Age Group with all the details...not...the Overall Result...it's difficult to find out how we did when there are many people...
