  • Comments: Great way to start out a marathon career. Wait what career. That damn Mike making me into a runner. Who knew? If you told me 5 years ago I would ever enjoy running I would have said you were out of you mind. It's something I took up because it is part of triathlons. Kinda like swimming to some of you. To do a marathon is outrageous. I enjoyed talking to people and runners along the course. I figure I'm ready for a race when I know I can finish it feeling good. I was able to do this well for this one. As one person said along the course pacing and prep is the key to not taking the ambulance home. Thanks to Willie and Y for home support and to Mike my quasi coach and BFF training partner. Anyone who has met him knows what a great guy he is. Oh yeah all of you who stop by and give words of encouragement. Kam see you in the next one?

  • Comments: Low key and very well run. The course is beautiful, lots of positive volunteers at the aid stations, the community support in Stroudsburg is wonderful.

  • Comments: This was an okay course. I went to East Stroudsburg University, so I'm familiar with the area. The course was beautiful and if you are looking to qualify for Boston, this course is perfect. My only complaint is that there were so many areas that were just dead. I wish the race organizers could some how incorporate more of Main Street with all of the shops as well as using the areas around ESU. Towards the end you were running through the neighborhoods which was great, but I would have like to have seen more of that.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: I had a goal breaking 3:50, and was pleased that I succeeded in doing that. But when I look at the 3 pee breaks, the two times I stopped to walk, and the walking through the water stops, I could have done better. My split for the first half was 1:47:00, and my split for the second was 2:02:06, so I really tailed off for the second half. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Bob and Kristen after the race. And, I can't thank Kristen enough for driving us all over the place and taking pictures.

  • Comments: The volunteers were amazing!! If there is an organization that can assemble volunteers it is the Red Cross!! I will most likely do this race again next year.
