  • Comments: Fun local race. Expensive but because the winter is so questionable for training, I can't register until pretty close to the date.

  • Comments: I was really disappointed with several aspects, from the faulty timing that didn't even register my racing - or even register my bib number, to the terrible post race food. The volunteers were super nice and the free food give aways at the post race expo was much better than the Coborns chintz. I still wonder, just WHAT did Coborns donate? SCSU students were volunteering, and there were other sponsors as well, plus the reg fee, and someone else donated all the water, so, Coborns, with money that bought up all the area grocery stores, uh, what did you donate? I would have really liked some pizza, or a cookie, or something warm. On the other hand, Finken's, who donated all the water, did a great job of actually donating rather than just branding. thanks Finken!

  • Comments: This is a good race and always well-organized. They were even a bit better with the relay this year since it was a trick to find the handoff spot last time. Rob and I did have to use an ankle bracelet chip and I had to get it off when I crossed the line for Rob--actually my hands wouldn't work so he got it. I don't know if it will record our split or not.

  • Comments: Wahooooo, big new PR baby! I suspect this one will be difficult to break for quite awhile. This race was great. It was very well run and organized, lots of people to cheer you on, good aid stations. I really liked the course, it went all through town and through neighborhoods, along roads, and running paths. The change of scenery was nice. I totally give this race two enthusiastic thumbs up!
