  • Comments: I love this race. The challenge of it is one thing, but the support is amazing. The aid stations are fully stocked with food, gels, drinks, endurolytes, etc... The post race bash is a full on BBQ with all the food and drink you can have. If you like a challenge and like to suffer I would highly recommend this race.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: Bought my viking jersey and it's official - i finished. My forearms are very sore from braking down the hills - i got more comfortable with that as the ride continued. Legs are not too sore actually. The route was amazing...hard , beautiful....hills are legendary.

  • Comments: This is a great event. The rest stops and sag wagon provide good support. The roads are all in great condition and you see some very scenic parts of Wiscansin. Even finishing at the top of Blue Mounds is kind of fun, in a masochistic sort of way, because afterward you can tell people you did it. The only thing to watch out for is heavy traffic when you try to park. If you want to start on time you have to arrive extremely early.

  • Comments: This is one of my favorite rides. I actually ride a training course that is very similar to this ride but is little bit harder. I didn't get to ride that training course this year so I was a little apprehensive about how I would do going into this. I was pleased with my result. I never walked one hill. I made I stopped at every rest stop and took in fluids and rested for atleast 10 minutes. I rode my Surly Long Haul Trucker and wore my cycling sandals. I had one girl call me her hero because I was wearing the sandals. Lots of positive comments about the Surly. I will never understand why people try to ride their asses off when participating in this ride. It is a challenge ride, not a race. So many people blew by me peddaling as fast as they can only to be passed by me on the hills because they are walking up. Tsk Tsk Tsk, poor saps. This ride is well organized with plenty of rest and water stops. I would encourage anyone to ride it. If you can't get in and want to ride a similar

  • Comments: Do people really do this race for fun? I mean, I'm trainig for IMMOO so it was something I needed to do for training purposes but that wasn't really fun. It was both Mentally and Physically exhausting (as I know the IM is). One of the hardest things I've ever done.

  • Comments: They had the best after event activities I have ever witnessed at an event. Worth the money alone. Best part of the race was meeting up with all the way awesome B.T'ers after. I'm not even going to try and name them all because I'll miss someone for sure. What a great group of people. Special thanks to my sherpa Kelly for being there and doing great and my really awesome kids for hanging in for the whole weekend and never complaining once.

  • Comments: Awesome race. I might have been a little over my head doing the full length. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. I can't wait to do it again. The thing I will never forget from this. I was sitting at the side of the roadd on a hill trying to catch my breath when a lady pulls up in her car and very nicely asks me if I need anything. I reply that I could use some oxygen and she replies that she thinks I could use some testosterone!!! SNAP!!! I wake up Sunday morning with my legs feeling pretty good. My neck, shoulders and arms are pretty sore.
