  • Comments: DRC does a great job. The neon pink shirts are great. Probably the nicests medal I have ever gotten, even nicer than my IM medal. Plenty of aid stations all well stocked with water and Powerade.

  • Comments: As always, the DRC puts on a great event. All the basics well covered, nice long-sleeve tech shirt, plenty of volunteers and food, and lots of vendors.

  • Comments: A very well done race by DRC. The course is nice, with a majority under tree cover and winding around the lake. Aid stations were well-manned and well-stocked. Post-race food was ok -- pizza, fruit, small breakfast burrito, protein drink, and Luna bars. More vendor tents than I expected to see, many handing out samples, which were nice. Unfortunately, they forced you to pick it up immediately after finishing, and I wasn't hungry then. The bag drop is a great aspect, so you can stay warm before the race but not have to carry extra clothes during the event or discard them. The shuttle buses to remote parking were just fine.

  • Comments: As Beth and I came to the intersection of Buckner and Northwest Highway two fire trucks and an ambulance were entering the intersection. On the north side of the intersection a car was up over the curb and some people were on the ground. Heard jsut a few minutes ago that the care went through the intersection, jumped the curb and hit several people. It is being reported that three people were sent to the hospital in critical condition.

  • Comments: Okay, my biggest beef with this race is the start. What is the sense of putting up pace markers when there are two roads leading to the starting chute. Then again - its hard to manage 2500 people. BTW - it was interesting watching the fights between the runners and the cyclists

  • Comments: Race started right on time, which was great, most races seem to always be a least a little late. Also it was cool, that for people that signed up early, they had their names on the race bibs so, as I was running several times the race on lookers actually addressed me by name as they offered encouragement.
