  • Comments: I have to say the only snafu was getting on the base. Because my wife and my parents weren't with me, they had a lot of trouble getting on base and they wouldn't let my parents on because they didn't have a pass or a military ID. The awards were plentiful and I like how they just threw swag out into the crowd. All and all I think I did pretty well. I started training for this event in February. My original goal was to just finish but as time starting getting closer I made a goal to not only finish but finish in less than 1.5 hours which I did by 36 seconds. I was pleased to see the official results that I came in 125 place when on the papers I was the 266th person to cross the line.

  • Comments: Great race for a first timer! Just the right distance that is not intimidating. Great support and good afterparty. It's nice that it's family oriented and that family is welcome to partake in the post race festivities. I would definitely do this race again!

  • Comments: Happy with the race. First time I came in under 50. Hurt on the bike badly..not sure what was up with that, but I had a good run. 4th female.

  • Comments: This was my very first tri two years ago. I have friends who do this race every year, and it's very special. The support by the community is wonderful, the awards are amazing, the food and after-party is spectacular, and it's a great race for an introduction to the fabulous sport!!!

  • Comments: My company is one of the sponsors of this race, yet I was the only one racing -- pretty pathetic! The door prizes are amazing, but the big one is a tri bike! It was too bad that we had to start late. It wasn't the fault of the race organizers. They were ready on time. It was just unfortunate because the temps got so much worse.
