  • Comments: This race was pretty boring!! Not much to keep the mind occupied and the race is fairly small...only 1000 marathoners. There was no clocks on the whole course....not even at the halfway point. Also, the post race stuff sucked. They handed me water at the finish.....water!! I think I need a little more than water at this point. Plus there was no gatorade, powerade, or soft drinks after the race. They had like vitamin water and stuff like that. I need a lot more sugar and calories than that stuff can provide. I was pretty disappointed with the post race. However the course is fast and there are plenty of aid stations!! So the race itself was well managed. That's the only reason I would recommend the race but next year I hear the race is moving downtown so it might not be quite as fast!!

  • Comments: This is such a cool race on a fabulous course and with great organization. I am so sad that they will be changing the course and the date next year and I won't be able to return. (It conflicts with IMAZ next year) I will always have fond memories of the two Tucson Marathons I have run :)

  • Comments: Small venue but the people I had contact with truly seemed helpful and interested in making sure all the runners had the best time they could have. A few of the folks went out of their way to help others, not sure if these folks where the race dirctors or simply great volunteers, either way they made the day beeter.

  • Comments: For a small run, this was a lot of fun, nice people all around. I would highly recommend this race if you like small, fun runs that have beautiful sights to see while running. The desert was a great thing to run next to and the trafic that went by us was VERY respectful, they almost ran off the road to give us extra space. Highly recommended. This was the perfect race on a perfect day. If the rest of my races are half as fun as this one I will be a very happy camper.

  • Comments: What I liked about the race is they had the mile makers posted throughout the race. This may be the standard for marathons but I have been to a few half/marathons and 5K's where no mile markers were present.

  • Comments: This is another excellent smallish race with some really good organization. This is my second favorite "Destination Race" next to San Francisco. I will definitely be back for this race again :)

  • Comments: I really liked this race. I thought the scenery was nice (overlooking the desert and North Tucson mountains), climate is perfect for a December race, the course was fast and easy, the Hilton where we stayed is nice and the race shuttles picked up from here, and it was just an easy, well organized and convenient event. I will be back here to run my BQ.
