  • Comments: It would have been nice to have Gatorade on the run. I could have used some. I just assumed there would be more than water. Mile Markes on the run would have been helpful

  • Comments: Needed better bike marshalling returning to T2. Despite "closed" course had a few encounters with traffic, but mostly clear. Run needs much better mile markers. Liked the "This is NOT halfway, its only 1.9 miles" sign at the run turnaround. Perhaps just a "1.9 miles" sign would be less demotivational.

  • Comments: This is the worse event I ever competed in. First yesterday before the race we get an email which states thanks for signing up but due to signing up late (a month ago) they may not have shirts for us late registrers. I felt it should have been covered at registration as other race do. But they took the extra $10 bucks no problem. So we check in and get no goodie bag not just no shirt, on our packet we are told to come back at 7:45 to see if any shirts. Well three of us hit the station at 7:55; 20 minutes before the race and she gives us a hard time about not having a lot of extra shirts, good grief. The race starts 15 minutes late but then part of 1st swim wave took off after someone rang some cowbells not the airhorn. For 5 minutes they try to stop them by YELLING STOP to those swimmers, why not use a kayak they couldn't possibly hear you. So after another couple of minutes they send the rest of the 1st wave. How will they score / time that wave? There was no water station on the bike

  • Comments: I really enjoyed myself and had a great day. I was bit emotional at the end because I had to really be mentally tough to finish strong. There was a slight hill at the end of the race and I had just made a great effort to pass someone so I felt tired. But, I kept saying "be a runner, be a runner" and that made me focus on good form and mental strength to get the job done. I was proud of myself for that.

  • Comments: Good, well established race, USAT scantioned and refed. OK pre and post race activities and organized traffic control and parking. The road conditions realy sucked (not the race's fault) due to bad timing by Penn Dot but it should be alot better next year. USAT Mid Altantic Series Race.

  • Comments: Well, I am not complaining! I COMPLETED MY FIRST TRI! :) Very happy with the 3rd place AG finish. It did help that 3 of the overall top 5 were from my AG! haha. Minor details. Very happy with the swim, ok w/ the bike, & upset about the run. The treadmill & I are going to become very close this winter! I will be back next year.

  • Comments: I loved the new distance, definitely preferable to the sprints I had been doing. Just was a chaotic day. The ticket through off my mindset completely, and then the forgotten chip was just stupid. Definitely coming back next year to best this time by a lot. Have to train to avoid that bonk. My approx times listed above put my just over a minute above my actual time. That difference probably came from a shorter than guessed Bike/T2, but who knows. Weird day.
