  • Comments: The Camp Eagle race is probably my favorite XTERRA that I have done. The Camp itself is awesome and it fun to hang out and enjoy the area. The course has everything from tech to climbing and can be a lot of fun when everything goes right. The camp provides the post race food which is nothing spectacular but really hits the spot after a hard race.

  • Comments: This was my first XTERRA so it is a little hard to compare. The environment was very laid back and everyone was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere is mostly like hanging out with a big group of friends, than some of the more commercial road events and races. The post race food provided by Camp Eagle wasn't the best but we got there a little late and they had a hard time keeping the food trays filled as everyone was eating it faster than they could bring it out.

  • Comments: Despite falling short of my goals and sub par personal performance this was a FUN race. My less than stellar performance was mostly due to my poor decisions and for the most part under my control. I had a great time. Camp Eagle ranks in my top 5 mountain biking spots here in Texas. The race was very organized and well run. I am looking forward to racing this event next year with hopefully better results.

  • Comments: Could have pushed a lot harder in the bike and run but wasn't too sure since it was my first xTerra. Need to work on getting really warmed up at race pace when swimming in cold water.

  • Comments: Despite the conditions, I had a great time. I came to Texas for a racing experience, and certainly got one. XTERRAs are the best, any XTERRA. Once you've experienced the dirt, blood, scrapes, nature, views, cameraderie of an XTERRA, road tris just don't do it any more. This is the most gorgeous race venue I've ever seen, and recommend it to any off road enthusiast.
