Comments: This race was my second half. I trained very little this summer and I had a simple goal--I will survive. I did survive. I did finish. The bike course was outstanding. The run course was boring, but thankfully flat. I enjoyed the awards dinner catered by Boston Market. The band was fun. The $7500 in raffle prizes were exciting. The volunteers on the course were where I needed them. Thanks to the East Tawas and all the people of that area for supporting this race.

Comments: Great Race and location, the awards ceremony was good. They gave away $7,500.00 in prizes. Boston Market catered. The food was good and hot.

Comments: There were a couple girl volunteers at the farthest aid station that just didn't want to be there. Comments like when will they come pick us up so I can go home. And this was on my first loop, when I know I've got another 1.5 hours to go. Other than that everyone was great. Was originally disappointed with the swim course change but after actually finishing the swim, it was great. I really enjoyed the staggered swim start made for a very comfortable swim, almost no contact with other swimmers.
