Comments: The race is great. The course is challenging and has some awesome views of the ocean! The organization of the race leaves something to be desired. While it is mostly organized, it is far too crowded. From the packet pickup to the race finish it is just way too congested and crazy! The start was supposed to have 3 waves, but there were no corrals or lines or signs to indicate where people should be waiting for each wave. This led to mass confusion and a huge bottleneck at the start line. Same idea in reverse at the finish line. Everybody goind through one tiny line to get out and of the finish area. And for some strange reason, all of the refreshments at the finish line were inside the finish area. I made the mistake of walking out of the area to get my jacket and wasn't allowed back in to get a cup of water. How lame! Either way, the event is great, but I expect the logistics of the race to go much smoother, especially considering this was the 31st time the race was run!
