  • Comments: We had a great time and didn't take it too seriously. We should be doing more like this in the future. A few pictures are in Laurie's (tri_it_cajun_style) race report.

  • Comments: This is my first 5k since February 2004 and first Post-Katrina race. I am proud of the last 2 weeks of training I have done in preparation for my half-marathon. One week ago, I couldn't run more than 2.5 miles without stopping to walk. I just have to keep reminding myself that I am a work in progress and most people were still in bed when I crossed the finish line. I am also lucky that I have a great husband to share this experience with, laugh about all our short-comings, and talk smack with(even though I knew he'd smoke me all along).
