  • Comments: I decided to keep a bit of a diary in the weeks leading up to the race. I've got lots of thoughts bouncing around in my head but I'd rather not stir up a lot of excitement and pressure from the forums. I really need to remain focused...but I still want to get my thoughts down on "paper" I'll publish everything along with my race report once the race is in the books. March 30 - So I've been thinking about this race a lot. I'm excited, anxious, and confident. I can't get over how well my training has been going the last 10 days or so. It's like someone flipped a switch and I instantly became faster and more efficient. If I didn't know better I'd swear I just started taking EPO or something. Really, the difference is dramatic and seemed to come overnight. My last 10 weeks of training have been very consistent so I feel like I'm ready to give it my best shot. I decided that I'd be satisfied if I can PR...anything faster is a bonus. But with what I've been seeing from my training

  • Comments: BOSTON is an experience that you will NOT forget. For me, it was my first marathon and it was a great one. I don't know if I want to run another one, but I'm so glad that I did Boston. Not only is it a great race, but the people are SO friendly, the town is so cool, it's beyond words. I say the course was too hard because I didn't respect it. I now respect not only the Boston Course, but the Marathon itself.

  • Comments: My previous PR for a marathon was 3:26. Getting a 7+ minute PR on the Boston course is something I will cherish for sure. My pre-race prediction came true to run 3:20 or better. My run training consisted of 3X runs per week, and my longest run prior to Boston was just 15 miles max...Plan to take some time off and recover...
