  • Comments: It's a good little local race, and not a hugely competitive field, as evidenced by my AG and OA (women's) placing :) Good stuff for little ones afterwards, and live music is good. Racers got free food (beyond the usual post-race fare) and beer. It's different to race in the evening and a 4-miler isn't a distance that shows up a lot. My performance was okay - I'm a little disappointed that I lagged so much on that one section after mile 3. This course wasn't so challenging that I couldn't have done better under better circumstances. I probably could have shaved off about 2 minutes from my finish time. But since I hadn't been running, I said that I expected about 35 minutes and change. I only said "no" to the drink stations, because while we had 2 stops, I think they could have moved it a little bit sooner in the course.
