  • Comments: It was a pretty well run event. A lot of the planned activities probably got rained out. I didn't stick around, so I don't know for sure

  • Comments: AWESOME Race. 3D did a great job! And boy were we impressed with how many volunteers were out there IN THE RAIN, wind, and cold to cheer us on and help out on the course. Very well run, very good course and the setting is gorgeous. Just keep in mind it's September and the weather can be iffy. We were ready for that, so did not mind the rain and had dry clothes to change into. Also we brought plastic grocery bags to put over our transition area mats so our shoes, bike jerseys were at least dry when we got out of the water. That helped mentally and it was easier to put on dry stuff. I would highly recommend this race and am looking forward to doing it next year! Note- 3D had a beach party planned for that evening. We did not stay in Tawas so we did not go to the party due to weather, but it sounded like it was going to be a great event with lots of raffle prizes donated by area businesses.
