  • Comments: Much better post race this year. As i said last yer the venue is pretty sweet with the big trees and nice breeze. Fun and quality small race!

  • Comments: Great venue with incredible potential. If they have the race here next year it could be amazing. Marco and Nick did a great job putting on the race. What could be better.... Need to have a larger quantity of food, can't run out early. Close transition and then keep it closed. The race started late because the timing system was having issues when they tested it. If they had actually closed trans on time testing would have been done earlier and we would have started on time. Need to lay out the mount dismount lines in a larger area. I would rather have run my bike another 20 yards to be on a wider portion of road.

  • Comments: Overall a great race! Some issues with timing but that can happen. Swim course was good, bike was on good roads (not too much chipseal) with very little traffic, and the run was on roads with absolutely no traffic. Post race activities were OK but got started late due to the timing issues I believe.

  • Comments: I was very disappointed in the production of this race. I would do it again, but would use it strictly as a training day and would make sure and keep track of my own times. It was a mess from the beginning. There were people that got lost on the course and took wrong turns b/c there just weren't enough volunteers or markers showing where to go. I heard this was their 2nd year doing it and first at this venue. It can only get better. I really miss J & A and will make sure to praise them more when I do their races. I checked the race results the next day and they appear to be more correct. Added them to this race report.

  • Comments: This is the first time this race had been run, and it was excellent! The organization was good. Started on time. Volunteers and sherrifs at every approrpiate place. Packets included a good quality technical shirt, not a cotton t-shirt. Nice prizes were raffled. The last finishers got big applauses. Didn't have to wait forever for the awards ceremony to start. Good music (if you like music in Spanish). All finishers got medals. Top 3 Overall won running shoes. Top 3 of each AG won gift certificates for use at the new tri shop. Lots of first timers seemed really happy! The only negatives were a lousy road for the first half mile (mentioned on the website so it wasn't a surprise) and lack of timing chips. I assume they'll add a full timing system as the race grows. Congratulations Tri-sition Area and Seidel Productions for a great race!
