  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Far to many people to make this course a fast one. I was lucky enough to be in the 2nd wave of Oly distance so that helped me out a great deal as i didnt have to worry about passing or being passed by to many people.

  • Comments: This is an event you have to see to believe: 7000 bicycles in the transition area, 50 swim waves, a swim you can follow every stroke from just a few feet away, and bike and run courses right in town. Extremely well organized for such a massive event. The large turnout of once-a-year racers and first-timers means that experienced triathletes, even the slow ones, look better in the results. My time goal was to get under 3 hours and be at least MOP. Made both; a good end to the season.

  • Comments: This was my "A" race for this year, which is my first year racing (or, for that matter, running) ever. I was hoping to finish above the 50th percentile for my age group and I ended up in the 67th. I loved this race and will return next year.

  • Comments: My only complaint is the condition of LSD. It was bad last year and it's getting WORSE! Also, the water stations had warm water. But it was awfully hot outside, so I can't imagine how they could have kept that water cool.

  • Comments: Wow! What a job the Accenture people did putting on a race of this size. The amount of organization was outstanding, it's no simple task to direct 7800 people and they did a fantastic job. The volunteers were excellent, much thanks to them!

  • Comments: I think this is the best race I have been to. I would definetly do it again. I loved St. Anthony's but I have to say I think I like this race more, even with the crazy long run to transition. The course is so great, the weather was good, I met so many interesting people. I even had a grin on my face during the run because I was just so happy to be here in Chicago having a great race and loving every minute of it!!The pictures are of me and Laura (Whizzer) before the race and after.
