  • Comments: I'll start with the good. It started at 9am so my morning was leisurely which I LOVED. Those 7am start times can be difficult for me. And when they say it started at nine, I looked at my watch when I heard the gun go off and it was 9:00:15am. Impressive! There was a huge amount of volunteers lining the route, putting together goodie bags, manning the banana stations. They police presence and road closures were terrific. The brief portion along the river trail was rather nice. The goodie bags were great, I've never seen a larger mountain of bananas in my life, and there was plenty of water and nutrition bars available when I was through. The turnaround for the 5k was well marked. Overall, it was a nice race. The bad--I can't fault the race organizers for this. There were 5 'corrals' you placed yourself into and people did NOT seed themselves well. I spent two miles fighting my way around dogs, strollers, 3 year olds, and walkers that had clearly placed themselves in the 7 to 10 minute
