  • Organised?Yes
  • Events on time?Yes

  • Lots of volunteers to help?Yes
  • Plenty of drink stations?Yes

  • Post race activities? Good
  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: This is a small, local race with a HM on Saturday and both a HM and full marathon on Sunday. Various relays are set up for both days. Good race for someone who doesn't want all of the congestion and crowds of a major race venue.

  • Comments: This is a small, home-towney race that is very well executed. Start and finish are in a city park, they offer a post-race BBQ (burgers, dogs, and all fixin's) gratis after the race, volunteers are second to none, trail--while narrow in spots--is a nice departure from all of the street pounding I am used to doing. Finisher medals are very nice and large...and thwe schwag for runners is outstanding (technical socks, running hat with race logo, technical short sleeved short with race logo, etc. etc.--for the price of entry you easily get most of that back in food and goodies). I will definitely do this race again--and the nice thing is they have so many options for you to participate in: full marathon, half marathon, half marathon (Saturday) and full marathon (Sunday), half/half on Sat-Sun, full marathon 4-person relay, etc.
