  • Comments: I think that the NYC Marathon as its set up is problematic. I do think that the NYRR has a bad system organized very well. I would forget the whole Staten Island thing and make it a loop course again.

  • Comments: I only have two complaints. First, they need to do a better job of organizing the start. What is the point of having corrals if no one checks to make sure you are where you should be? At the very least, they ought to do something like Chicago and have a teired start system (Elite, Sub Elite, Competative, Preffered, and Open).Second, I understand the need to keep the finishers moving but the finish was too strectched out. It shouldn't take 30 min+ to make it to the baggage area. That said, it is amazing that NYRR can put on a race of this magnitude with as few problems as there are. The logistical problems in this race must be a nightmare for the RD. Run NY for the experience not for time.
