  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Volunteers and organization and finish area were top notch, as well as transition area. Course was a bit tricky and my hubby and a few other guys missed a turn on bike that added on 1.5 extra miles. Run course was wonderful and marked with arrows. The only thing that could improve is having an award ceremony.

  • Comments: I know I can cut a chunk of time off of a sprint next time I do one. I know I have more potential. I'll do better in each category. This will spur me on to faster times.

  • Comments: Very fun race; I highly advise all women to do a women's only tri. It was pretty empowering and for a great cause. The volunteers were super nice. Race was very well organized. I wish they had one more drink station on the run; there was one right at the beginning but I had been drinking on the bike, so I turned it down. There was only one other one in the middle. That would've been all right in cooler weather, but not in 80+ degrees. The food afterwards was fantastic. Frozen yogurt and pickles! Nom! PTs doing stretching were awesome too, and I definitely took advantage. The race shirt and medal were really really cute too.

  • Overall course based on my ability:

  • Comments: Could use a few more/more vocal volunteers to direct people around transition and on the run. I've been looking forward to racing this event since it was 1 week after the Muncie HIM 70.3. After a long race like that, I felt very prepared for a fast sprint. I raced XL1 thinking that I should be able to win the group. Ended up 12.5 minutes ahead of the next XL1. I would have also won the 35-39 AG by 2.5 min.

  • Comments: it was a fun race. teh heat was a killer today. Wish the race time would be earlier to avoid some of the hot and humid peaks.

  • Comments: I was shocked to see I won my age group. Although 1:17 is a good time, it's not exactly a record setting pace. I was surprised winners did not receive a medal. The investment would have been minimal. HFP manages another outstanding race.

  • Comments: Again, it was a long start for some and could have used 1 more drink station on the run--it was so hot and humid by the time the men started. (It was 3 hours of continuous TT swim starts.) Everything workd like clockwork and HFP did a fine job of management. I will be back next year!

  • Comments: I can't complain. This was my first race where I placed in my age group, and my first 1st place in my age group (even though there were only 6 of us).
