  • Comments: This was the first race of the season, and first race after dropping some weight and really working on fitness and it REALLY showed. I signed up for Clydesdale, and looking back, shouldn't have. But I just didn't know my abilities for this race. First race of the season, second XTERRA ever... I CRUSHED the other clydes. Came in 17 minutes faster than second place (in a roughly 2 hr race). If I would have raced AG, I would STILL have been second (but out of first by 5 minutes). I know I mentioned it, but the weight loss has been such a help. Granted, I probably put 6 lbs back on from my low about 3 weeks ago. Not really sure how that happened... BUT, I still raced about 20 lbs lighter (AND more fit) than I normally do. Can't wait to get back on the program and get down 20 more to my desired race weight for IMAZ. • Comments: I REALLY enjoyed my first XTERRA experience! At first, I was a little disapointed I didn't sign up for the full length. But after riding that course, I'm GLAD I didn't have to go back out for a second loop. Also, the 5k run was brutal. I would have had a tough time doing that loop twice after a 30k bike ride. My wish list: I wish I didn't get food poisoning ealier this week. It made it hard to eat and drink the whole week, which left me tired and weak. I wish I had done an earlier pre ride in the month. Doing the pre ride the day before took a bit more out of me than I would have wanted. I was still feeling it in my legs the next morning during the race. Not bad, but it was there. I wish I didn't take a wrong turn and lost 6-8 minutes. I almost cried from frustration knowing I added time and distance. I can't imagine how many peole finished in front of me that shouldn't have even been around me if I had made the correct turn. I wish I had worn my camelback and drank
