  • Comments: Great race!! Was a little confusing at first as there were multiple events - Duathlon/Fun/Time Trial going on at the same time, but volunteers and staff did a great job and directions and course marking were really clear! I am really glad that the course was altered - I preferred the run course this year.

  • Comments: They switched the course about 2 weeks prior to raceday. I am very happy with that! THis course was very spectator friendly! I hope the RD can keep it like this next year! I was very impressed with it and the transition area was much better laid out.

  • Comments: After we cooled off some more, we took my bike back to the car and changed clothes. Then we walked the 12 blocks to Brit's pub for the cake and beer and awards. I looked at the list and saw 41 teams listed (they weren't all on that sheet yet). Then at the top in the number 2 spot was Team Ekman. We finished 2nd out of 65 mixed 2-person teams. I really couldn't believe it. The award was a cool lucite display with the finisher medal enclosed. Pretty cool stuff. In all, it was a fun race. And really, we may revisit the formula for the team du.

  • Comments: Pretty well organized for a HUGE race. But I object to the water stop at 2.25. There should have been one at mile 2. For this big of an operation, it's the least they could go. I wouldn't have minded gels at the one stop on the bike.
