  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: With the exception of the very unclear signage on the bike, and a need for a few more signs coming out of the transition to the run, the course was pretty well marked. *Updated - Apparently "someone" though it would be funny to mess with the directional signs on the bike course, creating a confusing intersection with arrows pointing two different ways.* This was my first Xterra/Big Blue Adventure race, I had a lot of fun and wouldn't hesitate to sign up for this race again next year.

  • Comments: Overall it was a very nice race except for some hiccups in the organization (it was the inaugural Del Valle Xterra, so it was to be expected). The course was mostly well marked, except in some critical sections. Probably a bit more volunteers would have helped.
