  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Great course, well-marked, perfect weather. Plenty of aid stations. I'll try and do this again next year. Hopefully they'll have the century really be 100 miles.

  • Comments: This is an annual event organized by the LA County Bicycle Coalition. We are members and like to support the organization and the event, but it is only minimally supported. After doing this event twice, I can definitely say that all the distances are short--century only 93 miles. First five miles on bike path heading south from Griffith Park are extremely crowded with lots of novice cyclists who aren't necessarily great at holding their line. Lots of good spirits among the participants, though: The really experienced cyclists seem to take the shortcomings of the event in stride.
