Comments: I thought this race was better than I expected. It is not as highly organized as the Pleasant Prairie tri, but I think it is well enough staffed. Check-in combined with the pasta buffet at Gordy’s was a nice way to start. The course talk was a little light on details but covered the essentials.
Day of the race, we arrived about 5:15 and got easy parking across the street from the transition area. The swim went well. I think age group waves instead of by bib number would have been better though. The bike was well marked with volunteers at every intersection that could be trouble with cars. There was some traffic on the course, but it was light and courteous. The run is painfully hilly but plenty of water stations with attentive volunteers.
Overall it is a beutiful course for all three legs of the race. I hope to do it again next year.
