  • Comments: This race was tough for me because of the open water and the heat. I realize my next event in July is going to be twice as long, so decided I am hiring a Crossfit coach. I absolutely hate running anytime after 11 am. It is too hot. Prefer the mornings. Probably won't do this race next year. Went home a took an ice bath, which felt fabulous! Ate a piece of pizza and took two swigs of a beer. Tried to go to bed about 11 (which is late for me), and couldn't sleep. I finished and that is important, but as far as personal accomplishment, I did terrible. Mind over matter.

  • Comments: This was cool being on Friday night! Warm out, light out, don't have to get up early! Good post race food and beer! Good times.
