  • Comments: This is my husband's RR - he wanted to share it with the BT community who are thinking about doing this race. "Just wanted to put in a word for the Garrett County Gran Fondo/Diabolical Double (http://www.winthefight.org/granfondo/diabolical_double.htm). I've seen several posts on BT and other Tri forums focused on how hard this ride is, and that certainly is the case. However, the stand-out feature of this ride is the course. I can't even imagine how much time it took to put the route together. Challenging climbs in every way, shape and form, plus incredible scenery. The support was also very good to excellent. This has to be one of the greatest long-course rides in the Eastern US. Thanks for allowing the guest post," SG

  • Comments: I can't say enough about how neat this event is. The setting is beautiful, The route is exceptionally scenic. Though it's a little harder to admire the hills when you can be sure that you're about to have to ride up them. Aid stations and volunteers were outstanding. Many extra details of the organization added to the overall experience. And the event is a great value at around $80 for the Diabolical Double, given all that is included over the course of the 125 miles. It's the kind of event where I would definitely plan to take part every year, if it wasn't also the kind of event where you tell yourself "never again".

  • Comments: One of the best run races I've taken part in thus far. Sag support was phenomenal, especially with Steve helping us sort out the road closure issue. I was amazed at how well those two guys covered 180 miles of road. Aid stations were fully stocked all day long with excellent supplies and cheery volunteers. They even had the post race buffet fully stocked until the last finisher had eaten. P.S: T-shirt as a finishers medal was a great idea.
