Comments: Listened to music with earphones and had Nike + for pace/distance. 1 min/mI faster than last race probably because I wasn't talking with another jogger and knee wasn't giving me problems. I hadon't only been running 5-6 mi training runs because I really think my knee is slowly deteriorating, it crackles a lot up and down stairs ever since the injury and I am trying to avoid surgery like my mom and aunts. I ate 4 tums during and 1 gel, carried small flask as usual to sip between aid stations. No cramping, hot day. At mile 10 I really kicked it in gear and passed about 10 people. I pride myself on always finishing strong and finding a last kick in the last few miles. Just to get the race over with faster.
