  • Comments: I raced last year, and it's a REMARKABLE improvement this year. The bike and run courses were redone and well marked. The transition areas were set up better. The only caveat with transition was that it was pretty crowded so bikes were all over the place. The finish was nicer. The race bag freebies were great (water bottles and IKEA coasters). They made sure to have lots of race talks explaining everything. Gladly it DIDN'T RAIN, though there's no way the race staff can predict that. It's really unfortunate that Tri-Carson's inaugural race turned a lot of people off from doing it again this year. The members of Long Beach Tri Club were a big help in changing things for the better. I may be biased since I live in the city, but I'm happy for this little race. I'll be doing it every year I can to show my support.

  • Comments: Went better this year i finished good 2nd in my age group, yet could had done better. I had fun on the course and afterward. i got a 2nd place medal for my age group.

  • Comments: Not a good T1 area, no one really knowing what was going on. People cutting the course on the bike and one the swim. front runners not knowing where to turn for T!. I and many racers that I talked with after the race, will not be doing this race again.

  • Comments: It's their first time, so many things are excusable. I just hope that they have another one next year, and that it's even better, more organized, and more people sign up. I live in Carson, so I like that there's activities like this to do. I'm gonna try and get some of my friends to enter it and help train them.

  • Comments: The biggest race organization problems that I will chalk up to this being an inaugural event could have easily been avoided. Clear pre-race instructions, one volunteer or sign and one additional lane rope would have resolved 90% of the confusion. Maybe next year.

  • Comments: Terrible organization, terrible course markings, poor officiating. But, at least I got to race.

  • Comments: Because of rain we started late. the start was like as mush pit and unorganized. The run course was make well and the bike route was not explained at all. pool was not roped off for enough lanes to much was left open to figuring out while we were racing. Some volunteers were out there doing a good job, others were not helpful at all gave no direction.
