  • Comments: South Australia is impoverished when it comes to its race offerings. With the loss of Murray Man there are no long course races. No HIM. Only two Olympic distance races and a handful of uninspiring sprint races as part of a series of summer races. This race is about an hour out of Adelaide which is just far enough for atheltes and their families to travel and stay over for the long weekend. It makes for a very pleasant family environment. There is a short course tri, a mini tri, and 5k run along with the Olympic Tri. The organizer, Sid James, is local tri legend and puts on a really nice local race. It is worth noting that 90 % of the local business are sponsors of the race......it is truly a community event.
