  • Comments: I was expecting a little better since this race just copied another local race course. First, the race packets didn't have anything related to this race. It would've been nice to have a map of the course inside the packet. Second, the timing chip straps were double-sided velcro, which is pretty sharp around the edges. I knew to bring my own chip strap, but other people ended up with bloody ankles from the thing rubbing against them the whole race. We showed up to the race site and there were no port-o-potties in transition (or anywhere, for that matter). They used the civic center bathrooms, which were inside a building across the street and up a hill from transition...not exactly accessible during the race. The swim course was pretty good, but the bike wasn't marked well and didn't have enough volunteers or signs at the turns. With the rain and crappy weather, I wouldn't want to get lost in that!
