  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Good race but with only 54 people this year the RD said it will probably be the last. Pretty sad. I don't understand why tri numbers are so down this year. This is a really good local race that reasonably priced and comes with a tshirt. Guess I'll have to travel even more for races now.

  • Comments: First "Olympic" race (even though bike was longer by ~2 miles). Was hoping for 2:15 or lower so I could qualify for Hy-vee. Guess I'll try next year and see what happens.

  • Comments: $75 entry fee was steep especially since you only got a short sleeve cotton shirt and a tiny package of body glide. good race overall. weather.com said 10% chance of rain the entire morning with 60% chance starting at noon. well that was completely backwards. I misted and rained the entire morning and stopped at 1pm. oh well, everyone had to race in it.

  • Comments: I thought this was a great race. Everyone was nice, with a smile on even though it was 55 degrees and raining the whole time. The thing that bothered me the most was that I didn't really see that the course was marked - they relied on volunteers to point people in the right direction. I was nervous when I was taking so long on the bike that the people pointing the way would quit before I finished, but thankfully they didn't! :)
