  • Comments: The T-shirts said 'I swim, I bike, I run, I tri!' and you know what? Now I do! My proudest moment is mentally being able to talk myself into finishing but doing it sensibly given the state I was in...the race director after the race stopped to talk to me as I think they saw me struggle (must have been keeping an eye on me). Made the point to say well done, these are the toughest conditions heat wise he has ever seen. So you know what? Things are just getting better from here :) Oh BTW - no splits for the race so all times are estimates based on my glimpses of the race clock and feed back after the race!
