  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Trouble with timing made it go on a bit long, but in the end it was a fun race because so many friends there. I like the course, lots of chances to see other races on the out and backs and it's local for me so lots of friends to do it with.

  • Comments: The recovery food was great, I believe a lot of post workout recovery so It was nice to have muscle milk and protein bars as well as fruit. It Was a great food spread for a smaller race. I would highly recommend this race to anyone interested in triathlon as well as the experienced racer who is looking for competition. My favorite thing about this race was the ample transition rack space. Rack spots were not assigned but there was plenty of room and I did not feel crowded at all. I am signed up for the series races and looking forward to Clearwater in a few weeks.

  • Comments: I give it high marks for the nice swim course and for the safe bike course. Liked that the waves were 3 minutes apart-- minimal contact with the previous waves which is good. Bad weather to start and wisely delayed start by 30 minutes. Music--OK, announcer OK. Food --pretty sparse: a cookie, banana, grapes, oranges, water and gatorade at the end--that's all! I appreciate fresh fruit and I don't eat the hot dogs etc. that some races have, but how about something with salt like pretzels? Healthy granola bars (without HFS, excessive sugar, or sat.fats)? Average swag: a cotton t-shirt, though they gave away coffee mugs--the third race I've got one from this year and love that. Good door prize raffles. For the essential things, this race is very good. Expensive--starts at $65 in winter and goes up to $80 in the spring, more in the weeks bf the race.

  • Comments: Could have had sponsor vendors with a mini shop on site and maybe a bouncy castle to entertain kids/families watching. Always nice to win
