Comments: Summary: This was their first year running this event and they did a spectacular job. The goodie bag was worth the entrance price, the course was excellent, the transition area was set up nice, well organized, good food, medals, awards and music. Good day! After I got the results I was really happy with my over place and then quickly realized the competition gets a lot tougher when you go from Sprint to an Olympic triathlon. Even with my personal best performance, I only finished 17th out of 27th. However, I did finish in the top half overall and I'm very pleased with my performance. Now back to the business of my first 70.3 in 8 days. Whew.

Comments: I was thrilled with this race. Probably one of the best-organized races I've done. Got to meet up with Mark, meeting BTers is always a pleasure. I was so happy that Vinny (dlugiwarriors) and the family came down to cheer me on. He was the LOUDEST GUY ON THE COURSE!! It was really awesome having someone loud to cheer me on. THANKS VIN!!! I had a great time at this race, can't wait to beat that time next year. I have nothing but good thoughts about the day, even though the swim was crazy. Guess I kinda feel like the St. A's people now. Didn't get to meet up with Ty Darby, but that's probably because I was so rushed in getting out of there to get out to Disney. Looks like he had a comparable race at 2:36:23. Way to go Ty! I'd definitely do this one again. Lots of fun! Yay for my first Oly!!! Woohoo!!!!
