Comments: I can't give this race an overall rating because I am so torn. The course was great. The volunteers were great. I was worried about the two transition areas, but their organization in this aspect was flawless and it really worked. Definitely on the high end of the post-race food and festivities spectrum. Extra packet pickup in NYC really convenient.
Now for the downside--first hint of an issue was they could not find my timing chip at packet pickup so they gave me another number. Slightly concerning, but I figured they had everything worked out and would note the change.
Things went really wrong as soon as the results went up on the fence. First, I was left off the results entirely. After working with the timer, we found my chip number was ascribed to another person--so then I was on the results but there was no one else in my age group (a sign of bigger issues involving results other than just mine bc I am in a popular age group).
