Comments: This was the first year this race was done in the river, and it had to be a time trial start to boot so results took extra long to come up. Awards didn't happen until 11:30 in the morning for a 7:30am sprint race! And since I'm in an "old lady age group" it took longer. Since I felt overheated after the race I really didn't want to keep hanging around but as we waited they kept saying results would be in "just a few minutes". I hope the growing pains of this new venue get ironed out before the next race in the series.
On the positive side, a very nice volunteer brought me a huge zip lock baggie of ice for my foot. There was also a nice spread of food and lots of water for rehydration. Also the trophies were nice beer glasses with the race logo and my place written on it.
