  • Overall course based on my ability:

  • Comments: 114 Miles with over 12000 feet of climbing. It was really hard, but my suffering was managable...versus last years thermo-nuclear meltdown on the same course....billed as the "Toughest Century in Southern California".

  • Comments: This was a great race. Everyone was friendly, plenty of volunteers and well stocked aid stations. In addition, they had a very nice lunch for everyone at the finish line. I can't recommend the race enough. http://www.cyclingpros.com/onyx.htm

  • Comments: In terms of sheer effort, this exceeds any of my marathons or my Ironman. I think I trained well for my marathons, and got through them reasonably well, same is true for my Ironman. As for climbing 12,000 feet on my bike, I definetly was not really ready for it, but somehow I finished.
