  • Comments: This year's version of this race was much bigger than 2023 but was still well-organized and pretty fast. There was a big party going on in a parking lot out the bike exit, but it gradually migrated over to where the run course was. The competition was pretty solid in general but did have a local feel. I will do it again since I really love the nigh race idea.

  • Comments: This was my first race back in almost a year, and I probably thought I'd do better than I did. There were some talented triathletes out there, and if you look back to last year, the times were way slower. I think this first lap was actually decent for my fitness level, but just slightly down from where I thought I'd be despite being quite overweight, not swimming for a year, and not running that much. Still really enjoyed it and competing with Kaylen and having Jake there. Eolus also came in the car, so it reminded me of the old days. Funny how much I miss triathlon when I'm back in it. 59 men and 27 women in the race.
