  • Comments: This is Anchorage's most popular run of the year. For me, it has always been an ill-fated race. Four years ago I ended up in the hospital with appendicitis the day before the race. The next year, my wife went into early term labor and we were right back to the same hospital. Last year we were down in Oregon, having taken what turned out to be a miserable job and moved our family down there. This year we are back home in Alaska and I am proud to finally have completed this run. Next year I will be back to see about a faster time.
