  • Comments: I liked this race a lot. Will certainly like to keep this race as an annual staple since it's well-run, close to my parents and the best deal ever for a race. PROS - $65 entry fee - tons of great volunteers (including those in T2) - tons of water stations (1 on bike and 5-6 on run) - great massage therapist to participant ratio (no wait!) - Full locker room/shower facility on site (nice for those who have to travel home) - well-run...no issues with two transition areas CONS - started 5min late - no age marked on calf - post race activity was nothing exciting...and they broke things down quickly

  • Comments: This race was a completely different experience for me. I am used to going to races to compete, and today I was there just to finish. I let people pass me, and it didn't bother me today. I can't say that I enjoyed racing like that, but I didn't despise it, either. I raced, I completed all three disciplines, and I had fun. The course was not that memorable to me, because I have come to find that I like courses with out-n-backs or loops so that you can see your friends. It was a challenging course, though, and I hope to do it next year and actually race it to see if I can take home an AG place. As always, having family and friends there is great. And doing races with Brad and Kristin are always an excellent time!

  • Comments: This was a local race which was on a fun, challenging course. I actually liked the two different transition areas. There were volunteers helping you in T2 find your stuff which was nice and the freeze pops at the end were great! There were loads of water stops on the run and one on the bike. They should have written your age on your calf. As a whole though, I had a fun race! It was great to race with Brad, Tim and Laura again and awesome to have our families there cheering us on! It was also fun to race on our 7 year wedding anniversary! Hard to believe 7 years ago today, I was getting my hair and make up done for our 2pm wedding. And 7 years later, Brad and I are competing in a triathlon! Hard to believe, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

  • Comments: i was skeptical about the 2 ttransition areas, but it went really smoothly. they even set up the second transition in reverse so people didn't get an advantage of being close to one end or the other. overall it was a great race: 1. good course 2. lots of volunteers 3. chip timing with fast results there were a few things i would improve on: 1. there was no age/relay on back of calf 2. needs better course maps online 3. race started late 4. don't use orange buouys and orange swim caps!!!!
