  • Comments: It was a good race - not spectacular, but good. I would do it again, and will probably do the full marathon next year. It doesn't stand out in my head the way the Flying Pig Marathon does, but it's a good, solid race that you can focus on. The only issue is the expo - something has to be done about that. Not only is the location a bit challenging, but the organization left something to be desired. You just had to be in the right frame of mind when going to it - you got what you needed, but it was more stressful than any other race I've done. Not a total race killer, but different. Thanks to TC, PanicTour and JenO for meeting up before the race, and congratulations for their own great races! It was a really fun weekend!

  • Comments: My biggest complaints are: they didn't have enough water stations (only 1 every 2.5 miles) and they didn't have enough bathrooms. Way too many people ended up peeing just off the side of the road and for about a 4 mile stretch, there weren't many options at all. Near the end of that stretch we went by a construction trailer and there must have been 5 or 6 women squatting behind / next to the trailer with no cover at all. It's disappointing that they had to resort to that because there were so few other options.

  • Comments: Seemed well organized. Aid stations were advertised as only every 2.5 miles, but there was an extra one around Mile 4. Water at some, Gatorade and water at others, plus gels at Mile 10. Pretty good crowd support the first 7 miles and the last 1/2 mile (half-marathon course). EVERY intersection was policed.

  • Comments: The Philly Marathon has gotten MUCH bigger since I ran it just 2 years ago. I think I liked it a little smaller. Still, it's fun to run in Philly and I'll probably do it again someday.
