  • Comments: I love the location of this race - the state park is beautiful. Couldn't help the delay in the start due to the storm that came through. When the results finally showed up online on Monday they had a lot of errors - sprint people listed as oly distance and a lot of "No Results" next to people. On Tuesday morn they'd corrected the sprint people out but they added two more minutes to everyone's swim. When I contacted them, they thought the waves went off two minutes sooner than they did. Huh? They corrected it back. Obviously they need to fix their timing issue but other wise a great race.

  • Comments: Not sure what is going on with HFP as I have always thought they did a great job in the past. However, this time there were no results immediately like there were last year. It actually took a couple of days before the results were even posted online. Also, the post race food/drink was lacking! They only had lemonade, cookies, bananas, and watermelon. Then, they now set up a concession stand where you can buy real food, soda, bottled water, and sports drink. I am all for keeping race fees to a minimum, but this seems like a critical item that should not be minimized.

  • Comments: 15-minute delay on the start time due to storms that had rolled through the area early that morning. They only had two drink stations on the course, so four total opportunities for refreshment over a 6.2 mile course. Would have been nice to have one more.

  • Comments: Will always have a special place in my heart for Maumee Bay. I am also so proud of Brandon on his Sprint Tri.
